Unauthorized UID/SID error while signing

Hi,
Today while signing an application we faced following error:
“Unauthorized UID/SID: 20013b8a. Check that all the UIDs used in your SIS (including the UID used in your .pkg) file correspond to those allocated to you by Symbian from www.symbiansigned.com.”

The error occurred at step 1, after uploading the a zip archive with the .sis, .pkg, .txt files.
It’s very strange, because we’ve been using this UID (20013b8a) many times for signing the applications. E.g. we’re able to sign similar sis file with similar pkg file today at 10.43 AM EET:

“Jan 24, 2011 10:43:28 AM EET Accepted”

UIDs are supposed to be unique. You should not reuse your UIDs for another application. AFAIK if you already signed an application with UID X then I suppose you cannot reuse it for another application unless its the new version of the same application. Symbian signed might have some sort of checks to verify this.

This most probably meanst that the UID is not registered to your account.

Hi, here is the solution to our problem (it’s come out from the discussion with symbiansigned@symbian.org, many thanks to them).
The UID specified below was assigned to our very old symbian signed account. Probably it had been expired.
So symbiansigned team has just transfer all UIDs from that account to our current account. This has solved the problem.

UIDs from Symbian Signed should be used with Symbian signed and UIDs from ovi/nokia shoudl be used with Nokia/ovi signed. If there is mixed up then that causes problems

so I just don't understand why the page claims it is unauthorized...

Can anybody help to identify the issue? Please...

The UID 0x2002cccf is a bit tricky, as indeed you do not own it, but it should have special handling at Symbian Signed, where it should be white-listed for all/any developers to use.
