    hello,

    I am working on one project which is made for j2me and symbian supporting mobile i.e both platform.now this both application are same.
    Now i want to avoid the situation that user of the application not installed both j2me and symbian both application in one phone.

    Example:-I have nokiaN97 which is having symbian OS but it support j2me as a 3rd party so user install both this application in nokia n97 but i want to avoid this situation.

    Can any one have any idea how it is possible.

    Please help me

    I'm afraid you cannot tell what's installed from a Java app.

    You may be able to do this from a Symbian app (ask in the Symbian forum).

    Thanks for he reply.i want to do this in j2me.
    type of installation mean:-The application which we installed in the mobile phone device.
    I want to get the name of the installed application in the device.

    Example :-we installed the 3 game
    A-Car racing
    B)Tetris
    C)Cricket
    Now i want that my application name -MyHello Application can get all the name of the 3 installed application.

    Hope you get my problem.

    Please help me.

    Sorry, perhaps I was unclear.

    This is not possible in J2ME.
