I have seen apps where API bridge has been used in the N8. Can you be a bit more specific on the issue?
Hey. I just started to create a FlashLite Application for my N8. I Would like to use the Camera picture. Is that possible? if so , how can i do this and what do i need?
Greetings from germany
@Risalmin
sorry for my late reply - got no notification.
What i found out is that the Nokia N8, Flash Lite 4 and the Nokia Bridge does not work together.
The solution to develop in 3.1 or less does not work either because a lot of "meda errors" appear.
I need a solution to upload an image to a server via Flash Lite taken with the N8...any idea?
Are the Apibridge Demos working? : http://www.forum.nokia.com/piazza/wi...shLiteCode.zip
did you install the API Bridge to your phone ?
I tested the demos and they are working. But taking a Photo means to go to
the photo app of the phone. I would like to have the camera as livestream/webcam to my flash application. NOKIA, can you do something?
Greetings.

why use flash?
try to make the capture/upload via WRT, and still have a flash that show cool UI embedded in WRT...
for example I read the accelerometer values with WRT's APIs and then pass them to flash with javascript (there is a problem if I use flash sensors API)
Flash Lite 4, AS3 and the Nokia Bridge does not work with the N8.
It just works till the version 3.1 and even all demos are not working correctly.
I developed everything in AS2 now and its working more or less. I am shocked again cause when i call the camera via the bridge service it just takes an image of 640x480 resolution - i hate this bridge.
Are there any settings to set it up to 4000x3000?
@Dichter
Using the phone for a stream is not the big deal - that easy to solve.
I am talking about taking high resolution photos and send them to certain sever.
@egomacher
i need to use the camerapicture as a kind of "webcam" and try some augmented reality applications with it.
You say thats easy to do. how? i tried the api demos and they are just starting the native camera application which takes a photo and goes back to flash.
i dont want to use the camera application from symbian. is there a way?
You cannot do that with Flash. Go for Qt quick: http://qt.nokia.com/qtquick/
