How to run pre-installed application in between running application

Could anyone please tell me is it possible to run pre-installed application in between the running application.

Pre-installed application means the application that is already installed in the phone when it was purchased. Actually, i have running application in j2me and want to run the Landmark gps application (already installed by the manufacturer) in between and want to use the output of that Landmark application in my application.
Device is Nokia 6220 Classic.
Actually the landmark is used to calculate the Location of the device.
OR if it is possible to run it in the background.

Nokia 6220 Classic supports A-GPS and JSR -179 so you can directly use location API's to get the lat/long data from AGPS and use google maps APIs' to get more lnfo about it.

I know JSR-179 is supported API. But, i still want to know whether is it possible to run pre-installed application in background and pausing the running application.
