Start App When Phone is Switched-On

I am building an alarm app, where in I want it to be running at all times. So when the phone is restarted or switched on, is it possible for the app to start automatically? Something like including it in the phone start up?
Also can I make the alarm ring even when the phone is switched off?

Alarm ring even phone is switch off. you do not need to do anything just set the alarm and switch off the phone.

I have implemented alarms using Qtimer, when ever the timer runs out I play a tune in the app.Now if the phone is switched off this wont happen.So, how to go about it?

This is not possible at least using pulic sdk. it will be good instead of playing sound by your self you can add an alarm into alaram server using agenda api.
