Qt:Debug TRK error on symbion device Nokia E71

hi

I am new to Qt and i am getting problem in installing TRK (Debug Agent) to symbion. what i have done....

1. installed Symbion^1 Qt 4.7.1 on my mobile
2. installed Qt mobility and Qt Demos
but whenever i try to install TRK (Debug Agent). It stops and gives error 3 and whenever i try to build my application on symbion device it shows a message box

" Qt creator is waiting TRK Application to connect"
" please make sure the application is running on phone and port is configured in project settings"

I am inable to see my application output on my device

i will be much thankful for help to resolve this issue.

Hi,

There are few things you need to make sure.

1. Install latest Ovi Suite. It will install PC Connectivity drivers need for on-device debugger.
2. Install Qt libraries on your device, E71, from Symbian\sis\Symbian^1\Qt\4.7.1\qt_installer.sis
3. Install and run any Qt demo application on your device to make sure it’s working alright.
4. Your device E71 is Symbian S60 3rd Edition FP1 (a.k.a. 3.1 or 9.2). So you should install Symbian\sis\Symbian^1\TRK\s60_3_1_app_trk_3_1_2.sisx
5. Start Qt Creator and connect your device to PC via USB cable. You should see the green check when you select Symbian run configuration.
6. Open any sample project. Add build target for Symbian, compile and run the application for Symbian Device.
