Implementation of Descriptors & Where to write code among various sections ?

I am new to Symbian C++(Carbide), I have doubt about Descriptor usage I have read theoriticallly all types TPtr,TBuf etc but confused where to use which type their applications.
Also there various files in carbide c++ and further various sections in each file Where should I write my code.
Help I am very confused I want specific solution which can support in my proceedings
