As we know that Nokia will choose WP7 as their smart phone OS. As a developer my question is what about QT. From the public message we know that we can use QT to develop application for Symbian and Meego based devices.

Is it possible for us to use QT to develop application for WP7?

I know that it is possible to use QT to develop application for WP7 in unofficial way. Just like QT for Android and QT for iPhone.

But we as QT developer want to know whether Nokia plan to extends QT to WP7 platform.

    Thanks!

    HI,

its possible to extend QT on WP7 platform. But Nokia is not keen on that currently as per its press release.
    WP7 framework supports QT.
Welcome to the developer community of nokia.
Have patience , there is nothing to worry on currently.
Discussion board team will make a announcement to developers .

    Regards,

I don't know about QuickTime, but currently Qt is not available on Windows Phone 7 platform.

Sorry. QT is not QuickTime. By saying QT(cute) I want to talk about the cross platform GUI development framework, i.e. Trolltech's QT.

QT is acronym for Apple's QuickTime.

In the meantime, have a look at Qt for Android (http://code.google.com/p/android-lighthouse/) and go for it - I love it and there is a Qt Designer that allows to build for Android phones...

I'll definitely have a look a coding for Android, since keeping on developing for Nokia with either WP7 (no market share) or Symbian (wich Elop announced is gonna die soon) would be a complete waste of time and recources. Too bad because I really fell in love with Qt Quick a couple of weeks ago, and this feels a lot like a broken heart .

I also wonder if Qt Creator 2.1 is gonna come out of beta at all, and if we'll be able to at least submit our Qt Quick apps to the Ovi store (for however long it lasts).
