Packagers and quit-problems

Depending on what packager I use – applications doesn't exit/quit, whilst pushing the red physical phone button (down right). Normaly when button is pressed, app just quits. This works well using sis-files generated by Nokias online packager.

Using either Carbide.c++ or Helliso generated sis-files (using same Flash Lite 2 app), make things different. Applications doesn't quit on such button-push. The screen content kind of fades out for 0.5 sec or so but fades in again to a normal function state. If I long-press the button, app (somewhat) appears to quit and phone home screen comes up. However, the application is still loaded. In order to terminate – I need to go /options/open applications/ and terminate it from there.

(This was tested on C7-00 (Symbian^3) and 5230 (S60 5th) with same results.)

Is this common knowledge with sollutions for?

Hi Hakano13,
Welcome to Flash Lite Development DiBo! There are actually two type of launchers for Flash Lite described here :
Swf Launcher
This red key problem can be solved by using this patch :
flash-lite-stub-does-not-close-on-pressing-red-key-fixed
But in some cases, it doesnt help you also. The problem actually resides in Flash Lite Viewer API , so,better to make second type of Launcher which can get developed by using online packager or CDocumentHandler class in Symbian C++

The AS code fix worked out well for the 5230. It did not with the C7.

For the 5230, the app responded to red key press events ("endcall"). For the C7 – it did not. However, app in C7 did respond to green key ("send").

Now, I have a sisx for the C7 that (as usual) does not close on red key, not even with AS code fix – but the app closes perfectly with the green key

That is why it is better to use either the second type of launcher or embed your swf into a WRT.
