Hi, Series 40 is not based on Symbian, so moved your thread to the Java boards, hopefully you will get some answer there.

And the answer is... No can do, for the built-in notepad app. You may write your own note taking app that protects/encrypts the notes with one or as many passwords you wish. There may already be such applications; search on Ovi Store and/or on getjar.com if you don't want to develop it yourself.
