I click reply on a post and just get a swirly on the "reply" button. I've never seen that before, so I suspect it's a forum software "enhancement".

Yes, it started a few hours ago. If I click once in Chrome, I get the "wait" pointer, and nothing happens. Then I click again, and the "advanced" reply editor comes (so the separate page).
I am moving this thread to the feedback board.

Same problems here using Chrome. Could be caused by a Chrome update? Also affected the Save button on an edit, could only make it work if I "Go Advanced" and then save from there.

Update: Testing edit, save still broken.

Having trouble in IE 8 too. Doesnt work the first time. If you stop and try again, it works (but reply does a 'reply to quote').

edit: ok edit works too...or does it? doesnt seem to save!!

edit 2..it does save, but gives an impression that nothing happened.

I've seen the swirly too. Hitting the reply button again even if the swirly is swirling over it seems to work - I'm here, right? ;-)

Correct, but when I hit reply(two times as suggested by you), I did not intend to quote you ;-)

True. Even the Reply button quotes the earlier post. Presumably some software update has been applied by whomever administers the discussion boards, and that introduced this behaviour (someone perhaps skipped a test or two in the QA process).

And, if you edit a post, you can't do "Save" without first going "Advanced".

That is just an "impression". See the description in #7: apparently nothing happens, however if you reload the discussion, the modifications are there.
Anyway, long story in short: the discussion board does not work well now, and some feedback has been provided here.

There were several fixes (notice the Twitter Feed is gone) but they should not have affected this. We are investigating.
