is it possible write a float field on homescreen (top left or top right) with Qt api?

is it possible write a float field on homescreen (top left or top right) and inner pages with Qt api?
it is used as a traffic monitor app on symbian3 or symbian 5th models.

the ui is like a small float window on the top left or top right (not like the n97 homescreen widget), it can even be in front of inner page when you are in broswing or text a sms. you can see your float window.

how to program, use which api, or is there an sample.

need an urgent help. and i post this for my colleague. tks!

or only symbian c++ api can do this.

and can we use Qt sdk to program this function like app?

Have you tried Qt::WindowStaysOnTopHint ? It should take you 5 seconds to see if this works or not.

and realize the logic and idea: make a small field on top in every page even i m reading sms, writing sms, and view calendar. and the window will have info from my hidden Qt app. ?

You may remember from the other thread that I told you that your requirement overall makes no sense at all. But if you still want to go ahead with it, and use Qt instead of the Symbian C++ solution hinted in the same thread, then you better hope that Qt::WindowStaysOnTopHint is properly implemented for the Symbian platform and that simply adding this flag to the widget will solve your problem. If not, you're back to the Symbian C++ code.
