Automatically subscribing to my own threads

I would like to automatically subscribe to every thread I start or possibly even comment on, so that I get an email notification when a response has been posted.

As it is now I miss a lot of responses because I cannot keep up with all the forums.

But where is this setting? Every other forum I use offers it, so surely it must be there somewhere? Right now I need to click the checkbox every time I post.

This is entirely my fault and we are trying to rectify this. The idea was to have all settings in one place but I got the cart before the horse.
