unable to start emulator in Qt SDK 2.0.1

hi all,
i want to run simple program in emulator but in Qt sdk main window emulator is not there.
please help me to run a simple application on emulator.
i have installed Qt SDK 2.0.1 in windows 7.

hi sir,
in "Figure 10: Select the desired targets." of above link, when i tried, it shows only one option to select as below:
Qt Version
Desktop
Qt in PATH
4.0.7

i have tried, but there are no targets avilable in "Qt version" menu for simulator.

Something is wrong then with your setup. First you need to make sure that you are installign the right SDK, as there is no such thing as 2.0.1 SDK. The Nokia Qt SDK 1.0.2 had the IDE, Qt Creator, which has version 2.0.x but that SDK does not have a Desktop target.

Get the correct SDK from this site, install it by running the installer with Administrator priviledges and then everything will work just fine.

i have found following info in about Qt creator:

Qt Creator 2.0.1
Based on Qt 4.7.0 (32 bit)

Built on Aug 24 2010 at 11:00:55

That is not important, Qt Creator is just the IDE, it can be built using Qt 4.0 and that would not change a thing in your SDK. What SDK have you installed and from where?

If you wait a bit today, the Qt SDK 1.1 final will be available.

hi sir,
when i checked following :
tools->options->Qt4->S60 SDK
menu in Qt Creator 2.0.1 for windows 7
here at bottom of the menu a message is being displayed:

The file 'devices.xml' containing the device SDK configuration could not be found looking at the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Symbian\EPOC SDKs\CommonPath or the common program data directories.

i think this may be the reason for simulator absence in main menu of IDE.
kindly help me to configure path for simulator in the IDE.
