Is it still a requirement to be able to install the app on the MMC?

Hi,
once upon a time there was a requirement in Symbian Signed Criteria, that the application should be able to be installed also on the memory card (MMC). However now I don't see such test cases any more. If for our business reasons I fix the target installation path to the internal memory of the device (specifying "c:\..." target path in the pkg), does it conform with the current signing criteria?

The tests are simplified for a long time by now. Even when there was such test case, it could have been waived for business reasons.

Anyway, if might be unwise decision to limit the installation to internal memory only, the C-Drive often can be the smallest memory on the device, and thus can get full.

Just two cases: protection software (virus, thievery, anything), communication software (instant messaging, voip).

Indeed there is no requirement about where the application should be
installed.
You're free to do as you want.
