    I planning on getting some webspace there to host my own blog. Is it possible to upload only small pieces of text via my mobile phone?

    Probably yes, consult with your web provider to learn about what protocols are supported.

    And for some phones there are also applications to maintain the blog. E.g., for the WordPress app to maintain WordPress based blogs: http://store.ovi.com/content/57192
