Access the system message database

I'm trying to find a method to access and write messages on the system database of symbian.
I've found on google a portion of code with this comment:

is it true?
In this case, is possible to access the system message database using some sql api?

With "system message database", are you referring to the messages (SMS, MMS, email) of the built-in Messaging app, or something else?

I refer to the built-in app.
Actually with Qt apis is possible to read sms , but not to write(instead save sms in a specific folder), or not?

My app send sms throught web based services of voip providers, and the intent is to place sms in the sent folder of the native app (obviously without send it)

For things which there are no Qt APIs, you have to use Symbian C++ APIs, or live without the functionality.
