    Hi,
As far as I know there is no direct way to put it off in Symbian^3. There are some internal API that can be used to put it off but you need get it from Forum Nokia and it cost some money

The API I was mentioning was about Symbian C++ (or we could have a work around about Qt/QML but not about Java ME, just for your information)

See this page, how to access support.

So there is API in Symbian to turn on/off the reader ?

if there is, could you please mention how to use it ?

also, is there is a way to call another program from J2ME or calling this native APIs ?

    regards.

I am talking about using internal API for Symbian and you need to make pertnering contract with Nokia, you can submit a ticket to Forum Nokia, See the post #5

Nokia used to have a mechanism called S60 API Partnering, where you could get undocumented (in the published SDKs) API information, if you had a valid reason.

The mechanism might still be in use, by submitting a technical support request: https://www.forum.nokia.com/Support/

The S60 API partnering were a paid service, and even if the outcome from Nokia was no (just to investigate the request and decide whether they'll accommodate it or not) cost an incident's worth.

Thanks Petrib for your detailed answer.
So it seems no solution for my problem ...
Is there new APIs released to handle C7 NFC reader, did any one try to use it ?
