My friend told me that he uses OVI browser version 1.0.11.8 and I check my it's version 1.0.0.9.17.2. Where can I download latest version?

Is your friend using the same device model or a different one? Which model(s)? If the same model, which firmware version (compared to yours)? (In case Ovi Browser is part of the firmware on specific Series 40 models.)

    The "getting started instructions" say:

a Series 40 device that supports Ovi Browser. Ovi Browser is delivered:

    - in firmware for some supported devices. You may need to install new device firmware on your device. To check your device has the latest firmware, connect it to your PC through Ovi Suite. In the menu click Tools and then Software updates. Ovi Suite will detect if there is a new version of firmware for your device. If there is, click Update to install it by following the instructions provided.
    - for supported devices that don’t yet include Ovi Browser in firmware, it can be obtained by opening browser.ovi.com in the device’s browser.

So... try upgrading via connecting to browser.ovi.com with your Series 40 device.

Hi petrib, thanks for the answer.

I've upgraded ovi browser on my phone to the newest one on browser.ovi.com. However, when I deploy my wgt to this phone (X3-02), bluetooth launcher always load the old one. If I remove the old one, bluetooth launchet complained it can't find ovi browser.

Do you have any solution for this?

    Hey,

    * What's the version of the browser you currently have on the device?
    * What's the X3-02 device firmware version? (dial in *#0000# in home screen)

You can always open your web app by launching the browser manually and using the short url deployment option in Web Tools to get the goo.gl prefixed URL and open that directly in Ovi Browser.

Yup, I do that on version 0.11.

There another issue I encountered yesterday. Whenever I deploy (bluetooth or goo.gl) to 0.9.10 I always got 404. I don't know why.
I've reported this in another thread.

I used to open my web apps by the shortener url and the Ovi Browser too, but then Ovi Browser changed it's name to Nokia Browser, now Browser version is 1.0.3.23.12, and I am not able to see my web apps by the browser.. Does anybody have had the same problem and solved it? I am using a X3-2
