Alpha blending?

Do any of the nokia phones support alpha blending?

It works in the 3510i emulator, but does it work on a real phone?

Yes I have tried on S60 phones. Remember as the phones are 12-bit (RGB and another 4 bits for alpha) screen only 2^4 levels for alpha are available. So 2^8 values that you can actually set map to 2^4 values.

alpha blending is broken on the 3650 but it works on S40 and S30 Colour phones.

How do you create an image with Alpha Blending?

Need to test them out on the devices I have over here.

It seems the method I am doing is wrong:-

1) create an alpha channel in PSP
2) create some patterns using 50% gray color
3) save image as PNG-24

Is this how you do it?
