When there's a version that supports native C/C++, we can start considering targeting Windows Phone. For now, a total rewrite is too expensive for us, given the small number of WP7 phones sold (which also means, that if the market grows to be big enough, it may also be enough of a reason, but it'd be so much easier/faster with native C/C++ support available).

I totally understand the need for native access, but cannot speculate what future versions will bring to developers. I also believe there will be an opportunity for fast movers, getting to the top list now is much easier than on some competing platforms. In addition we try to make the rewriting of apps easier by publishing sample "porting" source codes in Forum Nokia Projects. You will see first of those coming in next few days.

Fast movers on platforms like Maemo and Meego based on Nokia's announcements had a not so good experience. So for most companies (especially startups) investing on established platforms would make much sense. Even Qt with such a large Symbian Market is a good option for short term.
