Signal between app.

What do I use if I want a .exe communicate with another .exe. Is there something like a signal I can use to send something over to notified it. Both .exe are on the same phone, I just want to send some variable over to the other and maybe call a function. Help would be appreciated, thanks.

Thanks, just did. I manage to compile the example without error. But some how didn't get any response, it always end with KErrNotFound any idea why? And does the publisher or subscriber or both have to Define()?

publicer does the defining, and subcriper just listens. I would run it on emulator, and see any errors returned from any function call, also do check whether epocwind.out would have any additional warnings.

Slightly (completely?) undocumented but important aspect is that the "category" should match with the UID (SID) of the application calling the Define, otherwise you will need some extra capabilities.

I know how to delete the signal, but how can I make sure the subscriber receive the signal before I delete it, since I can't delete right after I set it, the subscriber will go through RunL but result in not found?

you should not delete the property, you should actually delete it once you leave the application, the whole method is based on one to zero-to-many communications, where the sender does not need to know anything about the receiver(s).
