QGeoSearchManager returns No data available for the specified location

Hi all,
I'm implementing a free-text location search function in an N8 application using QGeoSearchManager. Running it in the Qt Simulator results in 'No data available for the specified location' being returned for any location search e.g. 'London'. Do I need to configure the simulator in order to use this functionality?

It would be highly preferrable that you open a new bug report rather than adding data to that closed bug.

That bug report does contain a hint though - "No data available for the specified location" doesn't appear in the Qt Mobility code, which means you're able to reach the relevant server.

This means that the server doesn't like your string. The server that the Nokia plugin uses only really deals with addresses, so it's possible that it wants a bit more information (ie London, United Kingdom) or something like that - it can be a bit of a pain when it gets picky.

Thanks dalaing, it's working perfectly now after adding ", england" to the search string.

Not a problem - although I'd be happier if the search for "London" worked on it's own

I'll bring this example up the next time I'm talking to the people behind the servers - at the very least it'll be useful feedback for them, and maybe we'll see some improvements come from it.
