Nokia's current Mobile Media API implementation does not support recording of audio or video. Is there any other Java APIs available for such features in Nokia's high end phones? Or, can I invoke any embeded Nokia multimedia tools to do such things from Java?

Any helps will be very appreciated.

    Hi,

Unfortunately, there is no way to do it. There are no such APIs available and you can't access to native methods from a MIDP application.

Thanks for your answer. I have a further question:

I heard that some of Nokia high end phones such as 3650 has the embedded video/audio recording features. Where is the recorded data/file located? Is it possible to access/read the recorded data from the MIDP application?

    Many thanks,

Unfortunately, you can not access files on the phone, just ones in VM (packed into JAR and rms created by app).
