Porting some Qt software. HowTo?

Hello,

I was actually up to port some useful Linux-Apps to Qt/MeeGo in order to customize them for the upcoming N9 phone. There are several fantastic GPL-apps I would really love to see on my smartphone.
Since Nokia is not releasing the N9 in Germany, I will now have to port these apps to Windows phone.
For my N900 I could easily recompile the source for arm (most Linux apps are unter the Gnu Public License and the source is therefore available and can be modified) to get them running without much of efforts. How can I do that for WP7? How do I publish GPL-Apps for WP7, and, is it free?
I would like to use Qt on WP7. Where can I get a Qt installation for WP7?

There are not too many threads in this board so far, if you simply search for Qt on http://www.developer.nokia.com/Commu...-Windows-Phone, you will certainly find

In short: there is no 3rd-party native code on WP7 so far, which also means that there is no Qt.

...plus, I just learned that GPL-Apps are BANNED from the Microsoft Market!!!

WTF? I just decided to get an N9 from abroad.
WP7 sucks so far, sorry guys.

What. GPL-Apps are banned from the Appstore because of the restrictions the Appstore has. Therefore it`s not possible to port some common GPL-Apps to WP7 (well, wouldn`t be much fun without Qt anyways).

It's not the problem with the apple or microsoft - it's the problem with how license is constructed:

GPLv3 and LGPLv3 themselves forbid using covered software in app stores that apply anti-circumvention measures, such as the Windows 7 mobile app store or the Apple App Store. This is one of the improvements in the GPL between versions 2 and 3. The restriction is specific to GPLv3 licenses, and does not apply to GPLv2 licenses, nor to Apache, nor to BSD.
