Access to phone's resources (camera, contacts etc)

Hi,

I wonder if I can access the built-in camera for web app ?

And what about getting contacts from phone address book ?

I develop widgets for devices with SymbianOS. There is access to phon's resources by SystemServices
or/and APIBridge. Does web apps S40 provide something like that ?

S40 web apps don't currently allow access to device APIs.

Without knowing any details, I would say that the camera API is one of the last things that will be made available, if ever.
This is running inside of a proxy browser, access to the camera is maybe to much...

But Nokia, don't hesitate to prove me wrong

I've logged camera API as a feature request, but have to say that we dont have immediate plans to provide it.
