    Hi folks,
Just wanna ask, or maybe some OVI guys could share some info about these pre-submission steps..

    - For S60 themes: During Carbide.UI 4.1 theme packaging process, do we also need to include the "Allow Copying" and "DRM" options? what are the recommended options for these?

    - For S40 themes: AFAIK, there is no Application UID option during packaging, yes S40 using .nth instead of .sis. Do we need to supply the UID during packaging? if yes, how do we achieve that?

    very best regards...

    Thanks Balagopalks,

Yes,of course. I have sent the questions to the Ovi Team.
I'll update this post as soon as they reply.
Well, I made this post simply to enrich this forum esp. on OVI content submission topic.
It will nice and ease the publisher (and of course, the Ovi Support Team themselves) if such information already existed in the forum before they decided to write some mails, wouldn't it?

    regards,
    Adhi Kerta

A fresh reply from Kevin of Ovi support team with some points:
    - Yes, for S40 based Themes, they dont need any UID since the packaging itself using .nth format (instead of .sis in S60 series).
    - The question regarding "Allow Copying" and "DRM" option in packaging process of Carbide.UI for S60 is still unclear and they've escalated the question to the Carbide.UI team.
    This is the screenshot:

Hum.. maybe i'm right. It seem there is no fresh guidance, wiki, or documentation about this pretty simple questions.
I'll update this post as soon as they reply again.

According to the Carbide.ui development team, the "Allow copying" checkbox has no effect on S60 theme SIS files.

The DRM checkbox should remain unchecked for submissions to Ovi Store. That DRM functionality only provides a starting point for further processing with other tools such as those used for a network operator's store.
