Best way to open OVI from midlet on Symbian 3 devices?

I use this call to open a link to the full version of my app on OVI:

platformRequest("http://store.ovi.mobi/content/49711");

OVI has tested and they say that this link do not work on the Symbian 3 and Series 60 5th edition devices.
I could invoke the OVI store app on these new devices instead of OVI weblink. But is OVI store app always installed on these new devices? If not, the OVI testers won't approve a trial version which invokes something that isn't installed. So it is better to invoke the OVI app or use the weblink?

I searched for info about how to invoke the OVI app on the forum, but I didn't find any.

Hmmm... Did you test this yourself (using the Remote Device access if you do not have any such devices at your fingertips) as well? On my N8 that URL when opened on the browser opens the Ovi client

I have tested before on the Remote device testing. I tested on N8 again and the link works and it opens the OVI page for the full version of my app, like it should. The problem is that the link does not work when OVI tests it. Do you know why this happens? Here is what they wrote:

ISSUE #2: SUMMARY: The web links of the "FullVersion" in "Option" is unavailable.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Download and install the content.
2. Launch the application.
3. Select "FullVersion" in the "Option".
ACTUAL RESULT: After selecting "FullVersion" in the "Option", the application closed, but the Browser cannot be launched automatically with any web link.
EXPECTED RESULT: Features and controls in the content item must function as specified.
AFFECTED DEVICES: Nokia E7-00 Firmware 012.002. N8 Firmware 011.012. X7 Firmware 011.005.

Sorry, I do not have a clue why this fails in the Ovi QA. I would write a response to them, point out that you cannot reproduce this and note that even the devices in RDA work as expected.

I asked the testers about this several weeks ago. They say that the link do not work on these devices, which are all Symbian 3:

Nokia E7-00 Firmware 012.002. N8 Firmware 011.012. X7 Firmware 011.005.
Nokia C6-01(020.012) Nokia E6-00

They have found the same thing with two of my apps, which had links to the full version. I assume that it is not real devices that are used on the Remote device testing. So maybe this type of testing could give other results than testing on real devices.

Remote Device access IS using real devices. The screen is then shared over the network to your browser.
