    Hi
I am new to symbian. I am devloping a symbian application for S60 3rd Edition (MR). This application needs G729 functionslity. I am using APS (audio proxy server) support by Nokia phone.

After successfully building the application, tried to install the .sisx file in my Nokia phone. It complained of certificate error.

I hope I need just a certificate to test my application. How to prooceed I do not know. Can somebody helped me here how can I get a developer license, so that the application I have developed will install.

    Thanks
    Austin

    Hi Gopal
    Thanks for information.

Actually, I am trying to build PJSIP (with APS support) in Symbian S60 3rd Edition MR. I have generated .sis and .sisx file. Now I am facing problem with installing the .sis file.

When I referred APS help page (http://trac.pjsip.org/repos/wiki/APS) , for certificate below guidelines are mentioned.

"You need a Symbian Developer Certificate of type Open Signed Offline and with valid Publisher ID to install the application that uses APS on the device. APS requires MultimediaDD capability and this capability is among the restricted capabilities so the application needs to be signed with a valid developer certificate to use the capability. The signing options for applications that need these restricted capabilities are Open Signed Offline or Certified Signed. Please see Symbian Signed website for more detail."

What I understood is, I need a Oped signed offline certificate.

    Then I checked with page - http://www.developer.nokia.com/Commu...Symbian_Signed)

One of the step mentioned in above page is "supply a Publisher ID and the associated private key and password "

I really do not know what is Publisher ID associated with private key and password.

Please let me know what is "Publisher ID" in detail.

    Thanks
    Austin
