QT Ui application not autorotate

Hi,

I create an UI application with latest QTsdk for harmattan device. But ui shows only portrait mode even start in the lanscape mode. I think I need to change setoriantation part of code. But not able to find good working example. Any experince?

Hi,
If you create a new project using the Harmattan template, the application changes orientation automatically out of the box.

Hi,

I create with harmattan template and either QEMU or real N950 does not auto rotate. Also screen is locked in lanscape mode not in portrait.

Really? Are you using Qt Quick / Qt Components in your project?

I used QT Widget Project -> Mobile Qt Application and Harmattan device is sellected.

Hi,
The devices orientation is locked to landscape only if you the N950 hardware keyboard is opened.

QtWidget with Mobile Qt applications just gives you Mobility and some packaging/deployment differences, QtQuick w Qt Components is what you need.

No sense, because there are screenorientation scripts in the .cpp but not working.

Hi,

I am googling and as far as I understand meego does not support auto screen orientation. Only way is to use qml, which method I do not choice. Any experience?

Same for me: yesterday updated QtSDK to latest one, QT Widget Project -> Mobile Qt Application -> Harmattan device - build and launch application on N950, application is locked to landscape mode. Any ideas?
