Hi all,
Following the instructions from the Qt Getting started guide on the Nokia Developer website:-
Windows Xp could not install software for "N950 RNDIS/Ethernet" hardware.
I have tried :-
1) Manually specifying the directory to
QtSDk\Maemo\usbdriver
and
2) Automatically search for software
suggest by a fellow(harry) I met at the Singapore Meego Training.
and
3) Manually went into QtSDK\Maemo\usbdriver
Double clicked on DpInst.
A small GUI window pop up and after a while, it output to the window
Linux RNDIS install success.
Despite that, I went into Add Hardware wizard, the error entry is still there
! N950 RNDIS
Sadly all three did not work, according to harry he did the same thing for Win Xp and it worked for him.
Have I missed something out with windows configuration perhaps ?
The N950 is connected via CA-169 USB cable provided with the DEV Kit.
The Hardware I am using as as follows:-
Asus Netbook 1000H
Atom N270 dual-core processor
2GB Memory
Software:-
Windows Xp Professional Sp3
MS Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition
Qt SDK 1.1.3 ( no newer update )
Nokia PC suite 7.1
AVG AntiVirus 2011 FREE Edition
and other softwares
I have tried following the instructions from the website as follows:-
1) Downloaded Nokia PC Connectivity solution:-
Nokia_Connectivity_Cable_Driver_eng.msi
Version 7.1.34.0
However, the install shield informed me that the one I have already installed is newer and quit.
N950
Software version V1.2011.22-6_PR_RM680
(According to the other posts, this is already the latest software version.)
Could someone please help ?
