Nokia SDK 1.0 for Java Emulator Crashes Repeatedly

Hi All,

I have been testing out some apps from Wiki and on my own for S40 based Nokia SDK 1.0 Java apps.
I have noticed that the Emulator on which I test crashes time and again with the below error code
"Execution failed with error code 1073807364."

On closing the IDE [ either Eclipse or Netbeans ], I still don't seem to be getting the emulator to work again as it hangs indefintely. The only way I could get it working again has been by reinstalling the SDK all over again and in a different folder.

I have been using this SDK and Emulator only for a couple of weeks now and have had 5 crashes already. Anybody had similar issues with Nokia SDK 1.0 Java Emulator ?
What is (are) the way(s) to get this working without any of these issues.

Hi,

Have you tried to install the latest or different versions of the tools (JDK, SDK, IDE) that are needed in order to create a Java MIDlet? You can find more information here:

What is your system configuration? Have you verified that your system configuration meets the minimum requirements according to the above page?
Do you experience crashes with other SDKs, such as the Java ME SDK 3.0 which you can try to install from this location:

or is it only Nokia's SDK that causes crashes?

Instead of reinstalling the SDK, can you try to open your task manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del), and see if you have any java/javaw processes running? Try to end those processes manually and see if you get to start the emulator again without having to reinstall the software.

Yes I did. I am using Noka Java 1.0 for Java.
Yes, only Nokia SDK crashes [ Java E SDK 3.0 is fine ].
If I kill the Javaw processes, it seems to be ok. However once the Route Editor crashed, I have never been able to bring it up again as it says "Route Editor" running already whenever the emulator starts but I don't see the route Edtior window. Any suggestions.
