Volume Settings & Indicator in Meego

Hi guys,
I'm developing a streaming app on my N950 and for this I'm using QMediaPlayer. Now I want to set the QMediaPlayer/Streaming Volume via the volume hardware keys of the device by my own. (Unfortunately) I noticed that Meego is handling the volume keys and volume setting by its own and also displays an unwanted volume indicator on the top of the screen where the automatically set volume value does not accord to the displayed indicator.

Now my question: Is it possible avoid this auto-behaviour and/or hiding this system volume indicator?

Do you mean the volume indicator is displayed all the time and you want it to autohide, or do you want no feedback from it at all ?

hi achipa, thanks for the reply,

I either want to hide the volume indicator which is displayed automatically for a couple of seconds when pressing one of the hardware buttons on the N950
or
I want to avoid that pressing those hardware keys is getting handled by the system at all

I would be pleased if one of those two things would be possible to manage.
