Qt application disappear after backup and restore via Nokia Ovi Suite

Hi all,

I have problems with backup and restore using Ovi suite. Steps to reproduce as below:

- Install Qt application in device (Phone memory)
- Backup device using Nokia Ovi suite.
- Reset device to factory setting by press *#7370# ( or simply uninstall application from device )
- Restore device using backup file in step 2

Result: Application cannot be found after restored.
Tested device: Nokia X7, Nokia N8

Can someone help me solve this problem!

Have you done anything to request/enable the backup for your application? You may want to read Symbian's documentation for passive backup. See How-To Write Backup-aware Software and TSS000750 - Enabling backup and restore for installed C++ applications
