How to modify a contact number of the phonebook

I can display phonebook contacts but i can't modify any number, please tell me how can i do this?

from QML? Not sure if the QML contacts API supports this, so you might want to go C++

Hi,
What platform are u using and what Mobility version do you run?
QML Contact API allows you to add further details to your contacts as well as modifying details and delete contacts.
I tested it on a Nokia N9 with Mobiltiy 1.2.
