nfc means near field communication that means the data transfer will be taking place only when there is a short range b/w the phone and reciever part. one main problem we encounter is about security measures, that can be solved by using secure authentification protocols and adding some user name and all.
i think y can't we use the imei number and imsi number for authetification
by decoding both the numbers and storing in to that app in the phone which will solve the authetification problem .... i request ur help .....

    Hi,

What problem we are talking here? For NFC secure element there are many parties involved here (operators, credit card authority, OEM and applications developers etc).
For security reason, it is not just that simple IEMI ID and IMSI.
For Nokia implementation, secure element code will run inside SIM card (probably that is provided by operator and Credit card authority).

I am telling story without understanding the actual questions, so please repeat the questions :-)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Near_Fi...curity_aspects seems to say: "none, whatsoever" (as far as the specification/technology itself goes)

"Although the communication range of NFC is limited to a few centimeters, NFC alone does not ensure secure communications."

"NFC offers no protection against eavesdropping and can be vulnerable to data modifications. Applications may use higher-layer cryptographic protocols (e.g., SSL) to establish a secure channel. Ensuring security for NFC data will require the cooperation of multiple parties: device providers, who will need to safeguard NFC-enabled phones with strong cryptography and authentication protocols; customers, who will need to protect their personal devices and data with passwords, keypad locks, and anti-virus software; and application providers and transaction parties, who will need to use anti-virus and other security solutions to prevent spyware and malware from infecting systems."

It will be protected with password and it may ask additional question during transaction "Are you sure to pay?" or similar. If phone is lost, it can be shut down by calling the credit card authority.

You can't add NFC support to a phone through software alone; the phone must have the NFC hardware (radio), too.

No, you can't add NFC hardware to a phone on your own. Buy NFC-enabled phones, instead.

You can't do this alone. Your operator, Bank and Credit card authority and also you phone should be equipped with HW/SW support

Official way is you need to have a company to be a member. And the NFC kit is for members only.
