Hmmm... reflash your device with beta 2, using OneClickFlashers , and then again try to update with latest firmware. M not sure, but it might works.

    Your bad luck.

Even, i guess, Nokia Care (service center) people might not help you because device is not available in India.

i think this won't work as the phone is out of battery, as mentioned by Dave 'after update, it restarted and showing NOKIA logo whole day until battery down.'
probably has to unscrew the phone, charge the battery manually or temporary power up using another battery, to make the oneclickflasher step

i faced the same 'displaying nokia forever problem after update over the air', but manage to unbrick it using the procedure at this link

here is my post about how i get the upgrade to Meego 2.2011.39-5 eventually

Even i think so. He (chintandave_er ) is not able to connect device with PC because phone is out of battery. Once power up the battery he might be able to connect device with PC and then reflashing to beta2 using oneclickflasher.

    Hi there!

Sorry to hear you have had to go thru all the trouble. Now if anything advised in this chain and what you have been attempting to try yourself don't seem to work for you - and should it be so that not even the Nokia Care Centers would be available, ofcourse we want to try to help you to rock on! =)

Please e-mail me directly and tell your current status with the device. Include your direct contact information, secondary phone and number if you have.

We will contact you back and see what can be done, ok?

    Best Regards,
    Marko

I also experienced the same issue after updating N950 firmware over the air (OVA) . However, the provided link was very helpful. I managed to restore back N950 firmware.

From my experience, it is better to use the Linux version of One Click Flasher. I firstly downloaded and tried the windows version, but it somehow failed to restore the firmware. I've tried the suggested instructions / troubleshooting guides (plug - unplug - power off - plug the phone again several times) but the windows always failed to detect the phone.

After several failure attempts on windows, I decided to try the Linux version of One Click Flasher. I use Ubuntu 11.10 Live CD for this. The live CD enables me to run the Linux flasher app and restore the N950 firmware without even installing Ubuntu Linux on my computer. Obviously, I can just install Ubuntu on my notebook but it takes more time.

I didn't used my N950 for a while, today i decided to give it a try and did the OTA upgrade.

After it completed successfully, now the phone won't boot. Stuck at "Nokia" logo forever.

I tryed to download the 39-5 update, but it does not work. I get the following error:

    ERROR: unable to set SU_PARAM_HOST_PROTOCOL_VERSION
    ERROR: Failed to change protocol

    and i cannot reflash it...

    So, two questions:
    1) how do i fix it
    2) where can i doewnload one click flasher for Beta 2? (all links are dead!)

People, thanks for all the useful answers to this post.

I fixed it. The fix was use the linux oneclickflashers instead of the windows one. Just in case somebody else is stuck like me.
