Is Nokia SDK 1.1 for Java will be available with S60 ?
Thanks
Hi, i just installed my Nokia SDK v1.1 and when i start the emulator it says "The internal RMI registry port 1099 may be in use by another application. If the SDK does not start select the networking tab and enter another internal RMi registry port number", as it says i do it, but even when i change the port number, the emulator does not start, i check the services tab of the pc and the ports i use are not in use, please some help i really want to try in-app purchasing and my emulator is not working
Hello
jcospina, please check this discussion thread, it includes solution for the issue:
http://www.developer.nokia.com/Commu...ry-port-number.
frasene, the Nokia SDK 1.1 for Java is for Series 40 only. The applications might work on S60 and Symbian but cross-compatibility is not promised by Nokia.
For S60 and Symbian, one needs to use an all-in-one SDK for the platform: https://www.developer.nokia.com/info..._One_SDKs.html

Thanks.
I use this SDK (3fd, 5ed, ^3) for a long time but i had read that this sdk will unify development in JAVA for S40 and S60. So it is not the case... Do you have and idea of the release date of the final Belle SDK ?
Bye

Hello frasene,
out of curiosity, where did you learn from that there will be one Java SDK for Series 40 and Symbian? Could you possibly point out the source of information which states it?
For clarification, the Nokia SDK for Java will support Java development across all Series 40 releases. As I said in my #5 post, the development support with the SDK for S60 and Symbian is not promised in any way.

I don't remember the link, perhaps a mistake...
Thanks for the clarification.
Bye
The beta SDK is now available from the main Nokia Developer download system, here.
I had same problem, but I did lots of things, not sure which fixed it :-(
First is "This SDK requires use of JDK 6 Update 27 or earlier", any later ones will not work.
Second is that everything must be 32 bit, even on 64 bit Windows 7, use 32 bit JDK, JRE etc.
Hope this helps
This is probably my confusion rather than a problem with SDK.
Nokia Multimedia training is here http://www.developer.nokia.com/info/..._0_en.zip.html
Lecture_07803.pdf page 8
javax.microedition.amms.control.camera
" Since Series 40 6th Edition
From capture://image players:
CameraControl "
But CameraControl is NOT included in SDK, symbol not found
Not sure why this was not found in the first place, could the class for CameraControl be named differently on your code?
For cross-checking the CameraControl, the final version of Nokia SDK 1.1 for Java is now available for download on: https://www.developer.nokia.com/Develop/Java/Tools/
