It seems nowadays less people develop for S60 devices...while searching on net, most of the discussions were years old.
I recently installed the latest version of Carbide C++ 3.3.0, and S60v5 SDK v1.0. in emulator mode, applications work fine, but on device debugging does not work.
I also installed Nokia PC suite and Nokia ovi PC suite, they worked fine too.
Here is my problem:
I successfully installed CODA Version 4.0.23 (using driver: legacy(4.0)(running from C: ) on my N97 device.
N97's software version is v22.0.110, date:11-06-10.
while i plug USB cable to N97, CODA is automatically launched and display the following information:
Status: connected
Connection: USB
Port: 0
in Carbide C++, however, i got the following error:
Connection Type status description
N97 USB Not Ready Debug service unavailable
Debug(CODA) Not accessible Connection type is supported, but is missing some settings.
Trace Not accessible null
i tried to test with new connections, but it also failed.
here is my control panel image:
it shows N97 use vCom9 to communicate with my PC.
here is the new connection test result:
anyone has ideas about what i am missing? for almost there are no posts discussing this issue, i doubt if it is just a stupid configuration problem?
btw, i also tried Carbide C++ 2.7 and TRK tools for debugging, and it seemed worse. TRK tools can be installed to N97, but can not run. while i tried to run it, it display some error messages:
Error in connecting to TRK server. please restart the phone and try.
App TRK: 不支持此功能(the function is not supported?)
