Error in installation.

when i am installing my sis file manually on device , while installing at one point it stops.
and show the message that
"unable to install"

and on nokia pc suite it shows the error code:214853224


please help

a very common reason for this message is the installation of an application with an UID which is same as that of an application which is already installed on the device..

Are they valid in ths self signed sis file.?

AFAIK, the capability 'WriteDeviceData' would need signing. It wouldn't work for a self-signed sis file.

Along with 'Unable to install', you might be getting some additional message. Check if it matches one of these: http://www.antonypranata.com/node/11

Make sure that you are building the code for some phone target, GCCE, perhaps ARMV5.
Where does the 0xE000017f UID come from? If it is a .exe, that could rather be 0x100039ce
WriteDeviceData can not be self-signed. However in that case you would see the protected, untrusted message. If you do not see, it that again makes me think that you are installing a WINSCW build.
