When Nokia Technicians will release an upgrade to firmware to fix the bug related to Norton or Drweb hack? to bypass security UID3?

I read that nokia is planning to update s60v5 and symbian3 phones with a new BELLE firmware to fix this. Is it true?

Hope some news come soon, as I am a coder and has my symbiansigned UID3 in my project, but people could hack phones and software security ID is obsolete in that people.

Ideas or suggestions to keep my software secure are welcome.

Belle is out already, thus if you are interested on the topic, you could research it by yourself. Anyway people using Hacked firmwares generally are not buying apps, and when realizing the small numbers of these people, you could see that there are really no business losts there.

yes, symbianyucca, i agree, but hacked firmwares gives crackers the opportunity to offer a software to mass public. and if my application is patched, any people could install it easily.

Hope Nokia technicians (same as Microsoft do with their software) release a security fix update or even offer the new firmware like BELLE with more protection to all phones.
This will move market to a new level, and gives symbiansigned again the security required.

I read something about it on forums, that nokia is planning this. Hope any nokia engineering reading this, send me some feedback.

Hacked firmwares gives opportunity to install only to hacked firmwares.. i.e. not many devices.
