    Hello guys,
    I want to disable softkeyboard on nokia E-7, so that the user will have to enter characters by the using phones hard keyboard? Is that possible?

    Is it possible to detect that the hard keyboard is open or closed?

    As such there is no public API to acheive this functionalty. But you can try using the paid channel of this Forum to get access to the private API.

    I think there is no public APIs to detect this.
    It may be possible with internal APIs, you can contact paid technical service for more information.

    If you are lucky Flip Status might tell it. I don't have any devices to test this right now, but it may report if keyboard is open as well.
