    Hi All,
I have created a few apps now for symbian using QtQuick, I used a whole whack of the nice SelectionDialog's from the symbian qtcomponents 1.1 without realizing that this fine component is not available at all for meego/maemo... booo...
So now I am wondering what is the most efficient port for this component? It appears that for meego we have the multiselectiondialog , which is quite a bit different than the symbian SelectionDialog and will require numerous changes to my code to port the applications because of this.
Has anybody found a better way?
I wonder why the trolls would break the cross platform beauty of Qt with these components, I don't get the logic here at all??
    Any guidance is greatly appreciated!
    Cheers,
    Jon

there are not much option I think . Either you have to use different code for different OS or you can create you custom component without using symbian or meego component, which can work well on both platform well.

since you cannot reuse qml code, which is using qt components (!!!!), you have to create and support different qml sources for different platforms. It so, so weird, but...
