Debugger connection refused, Symbian Belle SDK 1.0 with Windows 7 64 bit Netbeans

Emulator comes up, MIDlet displays but connection refused on port.
Not possible to attach debugger from IDE. Added additional debugger timeout.

Current setup,
Symbian Belle SDK 1.0 (uninstalled several times).
Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
JDK 1_7.0_02
Netbeans 7.1 (with additonal Mobility Pack installation). (Not possible to download earlier version)

Firewall turned off.

I have uninstalled all Java 64 bit and uninstalled Java 1.6,
with that I got problem with installing eclipse mobile(?).

I have installed Nokia Java 1.1 SDK, essentially the same problem.

If you successfully and recently got the J2ME Dev environment up and running
on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit please do post, including firewall settings,
earlier JRE/JDK. If uninstalled 64/32 bit etc.

I think the issue is the 64 bit OS environment itself, which you have pointed out already. For example in case of Nokia SDK 1.1 for Java, this is what is said in the SDK release notes:

Emulator doesn't launch on Windows 7 64bit with JRE6 64bit.

For the Symbian Belle 1.0 SDK it says Windows 7 in the release note only. (So I guess it is 32 bit only)

As soon as someone gets a working solution or a can specify a date on which the SDK will be supported
on Win 7 64 bits I am very happy to get information about this.

If it possible to find a workaround on this, by running the application in 32 bit mode
or by other tweaks.

(Wonder why 64 bit is not prioritized anyway? Seems to be a problem overall)

Ok, I have to ask if there is some kind of market research on this community where you collect info about developers thoughts
about usage of operating systems for development for now and next coming 12 months, where I can maybe add some input
or my community friends already have given input?

As I tried just to connect with 32 bit windows 7 starter, the operating system version seems not to be the problem. I have latest JDK,
and netbeans 7.1. Question about Opening Firewall rules comes up but it does not connect.

When bringing up the emulator and browsing the menu options it says its java version 1.4.1 or later requered and I have 1.7. seems to be this
to be the general problem that it is not compatible with latest java?
