Publishing N9 application using Notifications API

I have updated an harmattan application to make use of Notifications API, but QA failed reporting a black screen after the splashscreen for Nokia N9 FW 20.2011.40-4_PR_001.

Is Notifications API available to developers? Can we use it in applications to be published in the Store?

Have you checked if your app works with the oldest (PR 1.0) firmware? Ovi allows only PR 1.0 compatible apps (which s*cks...).

Notification API is available to developers.

Apart from checking it in earlier releases <PR1.2 , also please check if the proper aegis tokens are provided incase you use an api that needs these tokens.
Also please check the target paths for binary, qml files are in place.

As I have understood, the problem was fixed in PR1.2, but on PR1.0 it can't be fixed. What to do?

I was thinking about a dual qml files set, one for PR1.2 and another one for PR 1.0, or maybe just one for PR1.0 to fool QA team using QSystemInfo firmware version method, but this will get my project "dirty" since it's already using a set for harmattan and another one for fremantle and is a paradox to what QtQuick meant to be.

I don't know why the message didn't pass moderation, anyway the problem is PR1.0 has a bug which will bring an error importing the Notifications qml module, and so a black screen. PR1.2 fixed it. A discussion about it can be found here.

Any official news about it?

I'm using a "workaround" to get it working.

In my main.cpp I get the current firmware version string and I pass it as a context property. In my mail.qml I check this string, and if it's the PR1.2 one than I dynamically load the PushNotificationSession, showing the setting options aswell. It's "dirty" and not "quick", but it works.
