VoIP audio services cannot change volume

Hi,

when using VAS (VoIP audio services) and its CRingToneFactory/CRingTonePlayer to play ringtone it plays always with maximum volume whatever is set in profile for a volume. Same API may also be used to play other alarts like instant messages which may have other volume, it is expected that API provides a way to set the volume. How can I control the volume of ringer using VAS ?

You may try to use CMMFDevSound::Setvolume().

Though CMMFDevSound::Setvolume() works in almost all handsets nicely but i have tested that, in some of the handsets it does not work perfectly with the profile ringtone. To get the profile info I used MProEngEngine, MProEngProfile and MProEngTones. So at last i set the volume to maximum again
