SOAP web service request with credentials for Windows Phone 7

Till now,I have developed two test applications using SOAP Webservice and both of the WSDL files are in '.asmx' format.Unfortunately my original WSDL does not have a .asmx extension.How do I solve this?

Sorry didnt understood your question. WSDL is a standard and its stands for "Web Service Definition Language". You can find more information about it here: http://www.w3.org/TR/wsdl. Asdl is not tightly coupled with asmx.... and in Visual Studio you can add a service reference to many different types of services. Can you be more specific?

The SOAP service that I'm trying to hook up to WP7 is powered by Java.Using Add -> Service Reference generates the proxy client, but unfortunately I can't find any 'SoapClient' proxy methods in my Reference.cs.Are there any workarounds for the auto-generated client proxy for SOAP services on WP7?
