how to run thread of location

i want my application to run location thread which update location data in database on regular interval behind my application, continuously till application is on.
means my app may do some work else on front but still the updation of location data to be continuous.
Is there any way to do so ?????

Hi siddhesh304,

There are two ways in Java ME to listen for location updates. One is by using the LocationListener (GPS based only) and the other is by making repeated calls to the getLocation method (both GPS and Cell-ID/Network based). This article describes in detail each method and includes complete examples (both code and executables) for each method.
