    Hi to all,
I'm new here and have a question.
I'v created a theme and wanted to try it on rda device, but just can't realize how to sign it using carbide ui, I'v downloaded the file for the selected phone and got:
    RDA_certificate.der
    RDA_private-key.pem
    rda_cert_2012-03-02.sis

I'v inserted them in carbide but what do I put in the password field???

Sorry if it's a stupid question but can't find it anyware...

It only gave me error "invalid password"...

The only way I managed to sign the theme was to do it using dos and signisis file under the plugin/runtime folder!

Where did you get the files from ? generally the source making them would know the password, thus if you generated them yourself in some webservice, you would have had to set the password yourself. Also do note that the password could be empty in case it is not set.

I downloaded them from the RDA page, they are at the top, above the list of test devices...

the instructions in: http://www.developer.nokia.com/Commu...er_certificate are not mentioning anything about password, thus I would assume that there is none, so you should leave it empty.

Note also that if you use the developer certificate it is restricted by the IMEIs of the devices. So with themes, if you want to distribute them outside Nokia store only, you could use self-made certificate with unprotected-range-UIDs, then you could install it to all devices which are allowing instalaltion of self-signed sis files.

Some updates...carbide creates the file without errors but tried on RDA device and get "certificate error"....so I opened the file with siscontent and the file is "UNSIGNED"!!!!
    In other words...it dosent work

I'm not certain of the Carbide.Ui's, anyway, I supppose when you are building it there might be some concole, so you could see what it says maybe.

You could also maybe try using the self-signing (that depends on your UID of course)

or you could use signsis application in command line to get the sis signed, and to verify the signature as well
