your internet settings must be activated for java applications

Hello All,

I had downloaded some chat application and try to run it but whenever I am launching it I am getting the message- "your internet settings must be activated for java applications try again later." Kindly help me out with this problem. Initailly it was working fine on the same phone.
I am using Nokia- c600

This query belongs more to the end-user boards, you can find them on http://www.nokia.com/discussions, and you can also try contacting the developer of the given application.
It may be a good idea to check if you can access the Internet with the web browser for example.

Thanks for the reply !! I am able to browse the internet from my phone and initially I was able to run GPRS applications too but now something went wrong and I am getting this message.

Normally for Series 40 devices, you need to do seperate configarations for Java apps, I guess you are using Nokia C6-00 Symbian Phone ? Can you give a try with Switch of the phone > remove the SIM and re insert and restart, most probably you would get new Internet settings from operator, else you can call operator to push new settings for Internet /GPRS to your phone.

Nokia C600 IS A SERIES 60 phone. And had tried all these option but still not working.

Hello me@nokia, as this discussion board is concentrating on development related issues, you should continue discussions on this topic on better suited forum, such as the one Wizard gave link in #2.

Also you could contact the developer of the chat application giving you problems, they would know the best on any general issues their applications may have.
